Blackfriars

Blackfriars
The historic remains of the Blackfriars monastery provides the name for an area on the eastern fringe of the town centre and features a mix of eateries, bars, coffee shops and unique independent businesses. The area is a picturesque linkage zone between the beautiful waterfront and the thriving town centre.

History surrounds you as you explore the Tudor buildings and the site of the monastery has handy information boards to guide you around the ruins

The area, which also boasts a range of restaurants serving produce from all over the world, plays host to a number of health and beauty spas to put your feet up and unwind.
