The hidden gardens of Ipswich

Starting in St Peter's St call in at Merchant House Interiors (number 27-29) where the ancient walled garden becomes an extension of the shop displaying a variety of items including outdoor clocks and mirrors.

A few steps further brings you to Applaud Coffee Shop (number 23) where the beautiful garden is a perfect setting for an alfresco lunch or to enjoy the delicious homemade cakes and coffee. 

No.15 is home to Cake and Catwalk Boutique here the clothes take a turn outdoors when Lyn the owner uses the catwalk in her garden for fashion shows. Italian wine tastings and musical evenings are also planned for the summer.

The Thomas Wolsey's gated courtyard is a popular meeting place -  their extensive range of beers are famed throughout the area and it is well located for meeting friends after work or before visiting one of the many local restaurants.

In St Nicholas Street (number 33-37) you will find the long established and a favourite "go to" venue -  K Bar and Grill. The intimate atmosphere of the garden is a great place to enjoy their fantastic grill menu alongside a few beers and a perfect bottle of wine.

Dining outside is always a pleasure and the pretty courtyard garden compliments the bistro style menu At 25 St Nicholas St - an informal setting for any gathering .
