The Spread Eagle
One of England's oldest pubs.
The Spread Eagle has a history dating back to 1510 and counts Charles Dickens as one of it's most famous usuals.
Today, the pub still holds it's Tudor charm with wooden beams, wonky floors and traditional beers and ales; all in perfect harmony with it's modern grain brews, gins, wines and cocktails.
With a cosy fireplace for the winter and a sun-trap decked courtyard for the summer, The Spread Eagle is a year-round favourite in Ipswich and regularly holds pub quizzes raising money for local charities.
