The Spread Eagle

The Spread Eagle is the oldest pub in Ipswich with a very colourful and chequered past. With Eagle Street being named after the pub, its history draws back to 1510 and has seen many famous faces such as Charles Dickens visit the pub. Today the pub strives on its wide range of wines, sprites, ales and lagers and a great food menu, all consumed in a comfortable environment. The pub boasts a secluded beer garden for the warmer days and an open fire for the colder ones. The Spread Eagle is also committed to charity fund raising for local charities such as The Town Pastors.
